Thorn Whip
You create a long, vine-like whip covered in thorns that lashes out at your command toward a creature in range. Make a melee spell attack against the target. If the attack hits, the creature takes 1d6 piercing damage, and if the creature is Large or smaller, you pull it up to 10 feet closer to you.

Common Mistakes
Common Mistake
Thinking it has 30 feet range - it's a melee spell attack with 30-foot reach
Common Mistake
Trying to pull Huge or larger creatures - only works on Large or smaller
Common Mistake
Forgetting the pull is optional - you can choose not to pull if it would be disadvantageous
DM Tips
DM Tip
Excellent for environmental kills - pull enemies into hazards, off cliffs, or into spike growth
DM Tip
The pull happens after damage, so it doesn't affect the attack roll
